San Francisco International Film Festival April 22-May 6

I just received the guide to the 53rd SF International Film Festival. There is nothing else like disappearing into this dizzying array of over 300 films from all over the world. I've seen some of my favorite films here in the past, and am still wishing they were available to see again, but alas, distribution of independent films is still elusive, even with instant downloads. Here's the guide http://fest10.sffs.org/. Enjoy!

Michael Bauer Botches Top 100 Restaurants

Image
How could anyone miss any of our little gems in Dogpatch when listing of the best 100 restaurants in San Francisco? I know there are a lot of great places to eat so the competition is stiff, however, we certainly have our share of treasures and the lonely map of Potrero Hill is absent of any attention whatsoever. Most notably, Serpentine and Piccino, which rival any market-to-table casual dining spot on the list, with far fewer parking hassels. Perhaps it's better this way, we can keep these secrets to ourselves, but still, Mr. Bauer, take a trip over here and have a bite for yourself. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/maps/top100/2010sf
